NATIONAL MEDALISTS / WORLD TEAM MEMBERS

Rosie was commisoned by The Ice Theatre of New York with a grant by The New York State Council of The Arts to create the costumes for choreographer Alberto DeSalz. The vision was to connect three skaters together with fabric, reminscent of Martha Graham. The costumes were hand dyed and hand painted creating an organic effect on the ice. The piece is a part of Ice Theatre of New York's repetoire.

“Rosanna Tovi, an internationally known figure skating champion and costume designer, critiqued student work in the "Active Sportswear" fashion design class. During her two-day visit, she also gave a campus-wide lecture. Her costume design line, called Rosie Wear , was a featured line at the 2002 Winter Olympics in Salt Lake City. “
